There must be something wrong with your computer or disk.. if you download v2 again or clean the disk it should work i have had this happened to me in a delicate cd drive or just a dirty disk try it and tell me whatz up

hey admin do u know where i can find the aircrack folder ??  im not so good in linux Sad sorry about that but u post me this: Ok look for Airmon  on the aircrack folder and type airmon-ng start ath0 or whatever your network is ect.. wlan0 , eth0,eth1 ect.. how can i go to the explore where i can find my folders ?? thx for helping

It is In the Radio Analysis 802.11 or something similiar =] hope you find it after knowing this if not i will post the exact way to find it

Yes you can crack WEP with Backtrack V3 but maybe the Commands are slightly diffrent might download it tonight to mess with v3 =]

i suggest the usb edition if you can boot from it
also on their wiki it will tell you if ur laptop is compatible for it
it works great with my XPS M1210 also it has a bunch of new WiFi adapters drivers
